Privacy Policy for AiLeech

Summary

AiLeech is a Chrome extension with a single purpose: estimating and comparing LLM token usage on supported chatbot websites. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit chat content, prompts, or model responses.

Data Collection

Data Collected Locally

AiLeech stores the following data in the user’s browser:

• Estimated token usage derived from character count changes
• Network bandwidth metadata (byte size and timing only)
• Aggregated token usage for the last 24 hours and last 30 days
• Anonymous user UUID
• Last synchronization timestamp

Data Not Collected

AiLeech does not collect or access:

• Chat messages
• User prompts
• Model responses
• Request or response headers
• Request or response bodies
• Personal identifiers or account data

How Data Is Collected

Token usage is estimated by observing text length changes during chatbot response generation. Network bandwidth metadata is used only to validate expected usage patterns and prevent anomalous reporting. Content is never inspected.

The extension operates only on a predefined list of supported chatbot websites.

Data Sent to the Server

The following data is sent to the backend server hourly:

• Anonymous UUID (random, not linked to identity)
• Aggregated token usage data
• Aggregated network bandwidth usage metadata
• Site identifier of the supported chatbot websites

All timestamps are generated server-side. No raw page data or content is transmitted.

Use of Data

Collected data is used solely to:

• Display usage statistics to the user
• Maintain historical usage graphs
• Compute anonymous usage rankings
• Detect invalid or manipulated usage reports

Data is not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling.

Rankings

• Rankings are fully anonymous
• No user identifiers are visible
• User identities cannot be inferred

Data Retention

• Server-side usage data and UUIDs are retained indefinitely
• Local data is removed when the extension is uninstalled
• No automatic server-side deletion is performed

Data Sharing

AiLeech does not sell, rent, or share user data.

Data is not shared with advertisers, analytics providers, or marketing platforms. Data is accessible only to backend infrastructure required to operate the service.

Third-Party Services

AiLeech does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or error-logging services.

Children’s Privacy

AiLeech is intended for a general audience. The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Regional Privacy Rights

AiLeech is available to users in the EU and California. The extension does not collect personal data as defined under GDPR or CCPA.
